Frank Hlavenka
East Brunswick, New Jersey, Personal Injury Lawyer
In the 33 years Frank Hlavenka has practiced law, he has handled innumerable cases across a range of practices that include personal injury law, Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Disability, family law, and real estate.
Frank vigorously represents his clients’ interests. He is uncompromisingly honest, a fact recognized and appreciated by his clients and his peers. He understands that it is all too easy to tell clients what they want to hear, only to have those promises crumble in Court. Frank is candid with his clients from the start, explaining the legal situation (and medical, if it applies).
From long experience Frank knows that each practice of law has its own “shorthand.” By mastering these various vocabularies, Frank is able to speed procedures and cut down on red tape.
At the same time Frank is careful not to use legal jargon with his clients. He wants them to understand everything that is going on and will discuss a case until he is sure they do. He takes a straightforward approach to this as well: “This is what I think will happen.” “This is our strategy.” “This is the best outcome we can hope for.”
Frank’s encyclopedic experience extends to auto accidents, falls, construction accidents, and longshoreman's actions. His capabilities can be seen in the $3.6 million settlement awarded to one of his clients who fell from a ladder.
Frank has been equally effective in Workers’ Compensation cases: He has obtained many total disability rulings, a feat not often matched by other attorneys. In addition, Frank has represented employers in compensation cases, allowing him to see what works from both sides.
Frank’s legal capabilities also include family/divorce law, a practice area that demands both compassion and action. Finally, Frank is deeply experienced in real estate law. He has worked on countless closings, representing the buyer and the seller.

Personal Injury Options for New Jersey Motorists
If someone is injured in an auto accident what are their rights? In New Jersey, we are governed by the terms of our automobile insurance policies. As owners and operators of vehicles in New Jersey, we are required to have Personal Injury Protection, commonly referred to as PIP coverage. Coverage for medical and other expenses for drivers, passengers, and pedestrians involved in accidents is provided as part of our PIP benefits.

Bill is a 56-year-old truck driver. When the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) took my one-and-a-half year old grandson from my daughter, I immediately thought of Ann. I knew her from before, when she cleared up some traffic tickets my wife had gotten. I knew she was smart. I knew she was a big-time listener. And I knew I needed help... More Testimonials
